During your consultation, Ami will discuss your skin concerns, your goals and your medical history in a private, relaxed setting. She will explain which treatments may be suitable for you, what each involves and what realistic results to expect. No treatment is carried out at the consultation appointment and there is no obligation to proceed.

All aesthetic treatments at Ami's Beauty and Aesthetics are carried out following a thorough in-person consultation to assess your suitability. Ami follows strict professional and safety standards for every treatment and will always advise honestly if a treatment is not appropriate for you.

PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma. A small sample of your own blood is taken and placed in a centrifuge to separate and concentrate the growth factors. This concentrated plasma is then applied or introduced to the skin to stimulate the body's own natural regeneration process, improving skin quality, texture and radiance over time.

This depends on the specific product used, the area treated and your individual metabolism. Results can last anywhere from six months to over a year for some products. A full discussion about expected longevity will take place during your consultation before any treatment proceeds.

Polynucleotides are highly purified DNA fragments derived from salmon DNA that work by stimulating your skin's own repair and regeneration mechanisms. Unlike dermal fillers which add volume, polynucleotides improve the overall quality, elasticity and hydration of the skin from within. They are often used to treat skin laxity, fine lines and overall skin quality rather than adding structure.

Skin boosters are injectable treatments that deliver hyaluronic acid deep into the skin to provide long-lasting hydration from within. They are suitable for clients who want to improve overall skin quality, radiance and texture. They are particularly popular for clients noticing dullness, dehydration or loss of plumpness in the skin. Suitability is confirmed at consultation.

Most clients benefit from an initial course of three sessions spaced around four weeks apart, followed by maintenance treatments every six to twelve months. The exact number of sessions recommended will depend on your skin condition and goals, which Ami will discuss with you at consultation.

This varies depending on the treatment. Some injectable treatments may cause minor swelling, redness or bruising at the injection site for a day or two. Ami will explain exactly what to expect for each specific treatment during your consultation and provide full aftercare guidance.

Aesthetic injectable treatments are not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding please mention this when you enquire so we can advise on when it would be appropriate to book a consultation.

Most injectable treatments involve only minor discomfort. Numbing cream can be applied beforehand to make the experience more comfortable. Ami will talk you through what to expect for each specific treatment during your consultation.

Dermal fillers use a thicker hyaluronic acid gel to add volume and structure to specific areas of the face. Skin boosters use a thinner, more fluid form of hyaluronic acid that spreads throughout the skin to improve overall hydration, texture and radiance rather than creating structural change. Both are assessed and tailored individually at consultation.

A consultation is required before all aesthetic treatments because every client has different skin, medical history and goals. The consultation allows Ami to assess whether a treatment is suitable and safe for you personally, choose the right approach and ensure you have all the information you need to make an informed decision. It also gives you the opportunity to ask any questions in a no-pressure environment.
